Bandits finding success early in season

Following two blowout wins over the Tropics and the Empire to kick start the season, the Sioux City Bandits rolled into this week of practice with confidence - turning their attention to a matchup with Billings.

Throughout the last few days, players and coaches provided several positive takeaways from their first two successful outings, along with how they plan to approach the next challenge.

"We went out there and handled business and we had a lot of new guys come together offensively and defensively," said Sioux City quarterback Lorenzo Brown Jr. "Getting those guys reps together as a unit is pretty key."

"A lot of times you put together a team and you think it takes a while to gel, but these guys came together the first week of camp," said Sioux City head coach Erv Strohbeen. "That's awesome to see and I think having a lot of veteran leadership on the team, that's where we're going to hang our hat right now."

"We just got to treat it like any other game, just stay true to what we do and come out here and dominate and not get into all the hype around the game," said Sioux City defensive end Dajon Emory.

The Bandits have already scored more than 100 points in their first two games and they'll look to add to that stat line this Saturday night, April 2nd, when they host the Billings Outlaws at 7:05 p.m.
